Lets look at some video footage of the sick stuff that happened this year.
This is a video louie lopez put out this year.
I found this too.
This guy, Darren Miller
Can't forget this
Some stuff that Billabong and Circa did
Here in Abilene we've got Matt's Mini.
In DFW we have WORTHY SKATE TEAM
Con't forget we've got Haider Ali skating an Fbomb in Orlando Florida.
Dillin Cook has fun on a couple Fbombs in Abilene Texas,
This year has been one small step for skating but one giant leap for Foundry Skateboarding. Thank you so much for all of your support and have a safe happy new year.

Free style skating
our facebook http://www.facebook.com/foundryskateboarding
our store http://foundryskateboarding.miiduu.com/Here is a video of Original Skateboards' Sean Burke. The guy is good. You wont see any huge ledges or massive gaps. This guy gets creative with anything.
Earlier I showed a video from Japan, those guys made anything into a skate spot. This guy takes even nothing and turns it into a skate spot.
The real issue with modern freestyle skating is that the old guys just seems to do it right already. Lets be honest Rodney Mullen has been out doing this stuff for years. If you don't know him here is a link.
Now the real question we have to ask. Why is freestyle skating like this, not big anymore? Has it just out grown itself, or are we bored of it? We all know its hard to do, but why does it not get the respect anymore?
People forget the roots of skating. This is it. Freestyle skating started what is now known as street skating. You know the guy from "My name is Earl?" Well its pretty crazy but the main actor from that show was actually a huge skater back in the day when "street" skating was taking its name. Look it up.
Now the truth of it is. This type of skating is part of skate culture, without this forgotten past time basic tricks would not be around. So take some time to learn these old school tricks because without them skating would have died a long time ago.
Back in the day before skating turned to the kiddos, skating was simple. We've all seen the lords of dog town. That movie was about the moment skating got big. Seriously during that time the big skateboard manufacturers where toy makers. I'm not even kidding. I mean the same people that made kids toys made skateboards. It was during the time of the movie lords of dog town that skate companies started getting big. What happened?
Well look it up! just kidding I did some research so that you don't have to. In 1963 skating exploded it was huge, but in 1965 skating had died. Yes died. It was thought to be a fad and anyone who wanted to skate had to make there own boards. Talk about dedication. In 1972 Cadillac Wheels was started, they where made out of rubber instead of clay. This sparked new interest and skating was off again. This was around the time the Z boys were skating. This was the very beginning of freestyle skating. Lets pick up the pace. In 1978 the ollie was invented. From there on skating exploded. Seriously the history of skating is awesome.
To put it short it goes through stages. Every five years or so skating becomes less popular and in another 5 years something big happens and people get interested again. Its the people that love the essence of skating like these freestyle skaters, doing the same old school tricks. What I am saying is, if you love it keep it up.

What is Skateboarding to you?
I love documentaries, so here is a short ten minute one called "What is Skateboarding" It's about ten minutes long and does a good job of interview normal people, about skateboarding.
I want to say that, skateboarding isn't about big air or 900 spins. It's about the hundred of thousands of people who skate without recognition, they don't need to be noticed to have fun. Skateboarding to me is a way to have fun without rules. I can do whatever I want, without having to worry about someone telling me i am doing it wrong.
I had some comments earlier about one of our reps. I want to say first that Daniel Kwaw is a damn good technical skater and to insult him is to say that you are better. Challenge the guy to a game of skate and I am pretty sure you'll lose. I just want to follow that up by saying Daniel Kwaw is a real dude, not some millionaire making money off of you. He is a real skater that skates for one reason and only one reason, because he loves it. Back off and realize Foundry Skateboarding isn't about the X-games, or video game tricks. Foundry Skateboarding is about the other hundred thousand skaters, its about chillin with your skate family. It's about those days that you can't land anything and you just sit down and talk. Seriously we are not here to make money and get big, we are here to make money so we can spend money on helping people get stuff they need.
The other day FsB took all the money we had, we were up $40, and we gave out that $40 to people who just couldn't buy new decks. They were mega happy. That is what Foundry Skateboarding is about, not some videos of people doing El Toro (Bad Ass) its about the normal person.
This video is about normal people. I found it, you watch it. Leave me some comments because I love them so much. Thanks

Get your footage ready!
By the end of the year Foundry Skateboarding will have its first "Scout" A Scout is the second level of Foundry Skateboarding sponsorship. This means that you get free stuff, its that simple. The only problem is, not all of our Reps have submitted Footage!!!
In order to become a Scout I have 3 rules.
1) Be a Foundry Skateboarding Rep
2) Have Footage!
3) You gotta ride an Fbomb
We wanna see the Fbomb on the streets!
I have some news about the next gen of F bomb. It will be called the Fbomb street and it will be flatter so you can really get some high trucks, or use risers. Let me know if you have any suggestions for this Fbomb street.
LET SEE SOME FOOTY! I wanna pick the first Scout be Feb. 1st! This is really exciting.

The Far East Skate Network
First here is what they do.
Now why is it worth posting about?
Foundry Skateboarding was never intended to be about your typical x-games massive air skaters. Its about local skaters doing creative and innovative things. That is what the Far East Skate Network is promoting here. Give this a watch and let the creativity flow. Seriously when people say that skating is a way to express themselves creatively this video shows what they mean.
Thanks for the view

Daniel Kwaw Interview
Daniel Kwaw skates the streets of Fort Worth Texas. Where he finds some pretty intresting places to skate. I was lucky enough to do a quick online interview with him. His skate team is called Worthy, check them out, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VqGQVpl-7YQ&feature=player_embedded#at=43
Alright to the interview. Then some more about the guy.
Who is your favorite skater and why?
Louie lopez cause he's gnarly and young Like me
Why did you start skating?
Cause me and friends would all ways try new sport like bmxing rollerblading scottering then skateboarding I was the only one who just kept skating and learning it
Where is your favorite spot and whats it like?
Hmm I'll have to say ethier bowling all gap or carwash 5 cause the gap pushes me to try néw things and the car was has a nice bank and set to get my tricks down
Tell me about your best day skating.
It was me and my other team mate we skated and just saw a lot of weird stuff like some drunk came up to us and non stopped talk to use and then some person wanted to call the cops on us it was a crazy day
Tell me about your worse.
When it rained haha
A lot of guys around here talk about the family. Do you consider your skater friends to be a kind of family?
Yeah there my big bros that I learn my mistakes from and learn tricks
Some people say skating is a way to express themselves, what is skating to you?
Some people say skating is a way to express themselves, what is skating to you?
It's life it's what I do to keep me athletic and creative and crazy
If you could change one thing about the skating world what would it be, and why?

If you don't know Daniel Kwaw's Favorite skater Louie Lopez, look him up. This guy is big. This guy isn't afraid to gap a huge ledge into a massive aqueduct and bomb the thing all the way down or backside a massive rail. I can see why Daniel picked this guy. It goes without saying that your favorite skater has an impact on the things we do. Just like I do old school stuff because I dig old school skaters, Daniel loves to get crazy. I know that Mr. Kwaw has some sick stuff in his future.
About the favorite spot. It says a lot about a skater when the spot of choice is some random place. It means that they love to get creative and sketchy. Daniel loves to skate the sketchy places. Places where you're just not supposed to be. This guy is great at keeping an eye out for the next spot to make his bitch and I can't wait to get some Foundry Skateboarding footage of him tearing of Fort Worth.
Seriously skating really gets you into some weird freaking spots. I personally have never had a drunk dude harass me, but while on a skateboard it would not surprise me. As far as the cops go.... seriously guys lay off on the skaters we just wanna do stupid crap that won't hurt anyone but ourselves leave us alone. How many times do we have to get kicked out of a good spot just because of some scared old lady calling us in? Seriously its getting old. This would have been one great day to session though. Also, how many of us have been rained out? I guess the only thing we can do is skate it out indoors, although. I don't think Daniel is down for that, non of his footy is indoors and this guy really loves finding new spots. I don't think skating indoors is his style.
Well, we all have a skating family. It's crazy when you stop having big brothers and start having little ones. This guy probably doesn't know it yet but he's gotta be someones big bro, teaching them to skate and setting an example. I mean the amount of tricks he can do has got to be attracting some attention, seriously his fakie 360 flip is ridiculous.
The last thing I have to talk about. If you could change the skateboarding world, what would you do? He said “I wish everyone could skate.” Seriously the world would be so much better if everyone did skate, like Daniel said ,”It's life it's what I do to keep me athletic and creative and crazy” We all need to get a little crazy from time to time. If everyone skated, then every spot on earth would be open for business. No one would ever want to say no to seeing something bad ass.
Thanks for the interview Daniel Kwaw and keep skating.
Here is his video montage of him and the Worthy team. Daniel, you better know that when Foundry Skateboarding comes to get some footy your gunna be doing some crazy stuff!

How to use spray paint and stencils to get nice images. (request)
I have had a request to explain how to use stencils, I have spent some time using stencils and I hope to help skaters who want to get creative. Ok I am going to teach you what I know. Listen up!
This is the image i have been asked to explain.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now I have selected 2 images that I want to merge. A background and a foreground. Lets start with the background. Here it is.
This is a simple 2 step job. Your first step is to lay down your base color... The lighter one first. You will lay just a simple square or rectangle or whatever shape you want. Then after that dries, your first stencil will be used. BE SURE THAT ALL OF THE STENCILS ARE PLACED ON THE SAME EXACT SPOT
All of the white parts are parts that you DON'T cut out . Now you have the complete background and are ready to start on the fist.
Your first stencil for the fist will cover the majority of the color, in this case the blue. It will look like this.
Now you just hold that down and stray from about 6-12 inches away. It should fill in that area completely.
Thats step 1 for the hand.... now step too
You get another sheet and cut it to look like this. This will be the black.
Now spray BLACK that and let it dry.
Step number 3 of the hand. The red tongue. cut it to look like this.
Spray it red and let it dry... now the last step.
The white teeth. Cut the next sheet to look like this.
Thats it, if you have done ever step you have the original image background included. If you have any questions please feel free to leave a comment and ask. Thank you for the good request.

A change in what a Rep has to do.
This is the Email that I personally sent to all the Reps. If you didn't get the email you can read it here. I hope that this doesn't push anyone away. Thanks and keep skating.
Hey guys,
The more Foundry Skateboarding grow the more I learn. In the past few months Foundry Skateboarding has grown faster then I ever thought it would! We now have Reps in Abilene Texas, San Antonio Texas, Fort Worth Texas, Traverse City Michigan, Manistee Michigan, also Orlando Florida! We are also pursuing some Reps out west. This is a great time for Foundry Skateboarding.
Foundry Skateboarding has some goals for the future. Some of our goals are a video comp, torny (here in Abilene(All Reps welcome)), we want to get t-shirts, some F-bomb stickers, we also really want to start reaching out to cities like Dallas, Fort Worth, Austin, and L.A. One of our biggest goals is to help fund local events liki mini ramps, BBQ's, local tournies, and just focus on the skate family. We do need to make some changes to make these goals become a reality.
The change that will you will see in December is that we have to have a minimum number of decks bought/sold from our Reps. I know its lame but we need the sales to grow. DONT worry, its a really easy goal. The minimum number of decks sold is one deck a month... OR 12 a year. So all the Michigan skaters... your covered through winter. This doesn't mean that you personally need to own 12 Foundry Skateboarding decks a year, just sell 1 a month to friends. The F-bomb is well worth the money and are very easy to sell. Please don't be discouraged. I have a rep in San Antonio, “Devin” who just sold 13! Yeah, super easy.
This is how easy they are to sell. Here is how I do it. I was chillin at the local skate park here in Abilene. Someone wanted to ride my board, so I let him. After the third time he road it I said to him, “Hey, man I know where you can get that deck for 20 bucks.”
He replied,” No way, Where?”
I replied, “Me”
The next day I sold him a deck. Please don't be afraid of this minimum be confident in these decks, they sell themselves.
That's it, you still get a free one every ten you sell. So have fun and Skate an F-Bomb!
Keep skating
Jacob Ray
BTW just learned the Flamingo... awesome trick.

Some Skating Inspiration
Check that out. It is a 30 minute documentary on some pretty amazing grass roots skaters.
This is the kind of video that makes me itchy to skate. The people in this video find the most incredible spots.
Thats not the point though. This is a skate video from Mongolia. This video makes you appreciate what you have. I am going to keep it short and ask everyone to comment after watching this. Think of it as skate homework, except it doesn't suck.

Lets make it official!
I know that our team has more then ten Reps and you are thinking where is the scout? Well I can't pick a scout because we only have 6 reps that are official.
Fill out the app make it official! Foundry Skateborading needs to get its first Scout! Someone that we at Foundry Skateboarding show off! Any of our Reps could be that skater. Just do the app and submit and give us a link to some footy. Lets get ten official Reps and make it happen?
Tuesday, November 23, 2010
Welcome to the team
Some of these guys need to get official, I need 10 official Reps to pick a Scout! Do the sponsorship app!
Also check out our facebook http://www.facebook.com/foundryskateboarding?ref=ts
Aerial Reeder. The first woman to join our team. She's new to skating but we are super excited to see how much better she can get in the next year or so.
She is a Michigan girl so nothing to be seen for the next few months. That goes for all our Michigan skaters.
Yeah... Gordy is a bit weird. Gordy has been tearing up some comps up north. He came in 3rd in the nothern styles heats this past summer.
This guy has been skating for awhile now and knows his way around some pretty crappy spots, (that is a good thing.) Like most Northern Michigan skaters do. Can't wait to get some creepy footy from him, I just know that it won't come out normal. Thats why Gordy is awesome.
This is Kody. He's is just awesome. He belongs to Matt Miller.
This is Brandon. He just jumped onto the Foundry Skateboarding team tonight! He's a great skater and we look forward to seeing that Foundry Skateboarding "F" under his feet.
Brandon has been a big part of the Foundry Skateboarding family for a long time... heck even before Foundry Skateboarding was thought of. We are proud to have him aboard.
This is Matt Miller (Right). If it weren't for Matt Foundry Skateboarding would still be stuck with its head in the sand. This is the guy that got the ball rolling. Matt also happens to have a pretty amazing mini ramp in his backyard which we like to chill out at. This is it... very short clip
http://www.youtube.com/user/foundryskateboarding?feature=mhum#p/a/u/0/kNmMsyfiK1I
Also Matt does some Bass Ad stake video. Check out some of his stuff

This is Matt Salinas. Seriously an amazing skater. I feel like Matt and Foundry Skateboarding are going to have a long and happy future together. He was one of the guys helping Matt Miller build the Mini Ramp, And was and is the only person to nail a front side flip on it. This guy isn't afraid to get massive air, attempt narly gaps, or just get wicked technical. We are super excited to see him skating the red "F"
Here is some footy, Matt Miller put this together
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MlKTtO2k2gY
This is Timothy pointer. A skater from up north. From Manistee Michigan, I know that this guy can make the most out of any spot. Michigan guys always can. Tim, we are super stoked to see what you and your boys from the north can do. Can't wait to see some footy from these guys.
This is Derrick Lewis (right), he is Matt Salinas's brother. I've heard he's good. Seriously excited to go down and meet him. I wanna get some pics of this guy myself.
This is a Mr. Tomas Sutton. Another Michigan skater. you can't see his face in his pic, my bad. The snow is keeping the Michigan skaters down but I am sure we will see great things from Tom, next spring. Nice ollie btw.
Nick Cox, this is (well on the far right) This guy has literally no still footy. He does on the other hand have some pretty clean stuff posted on youtube. Check it out here http://www.youtube.com/user/RocketCows?feature=mhum#p/u
I am looking forward to getting down to San Antonio to put together a proper film for this guy. Welcome to the team Nick.
This is Devin Smith, he does video. Doesn't skate but he can do some good stuff with your footy. San Antonio guys look him up if you need some work done.
This is Haider Ali. He skates in Orlando Florida. From the looks of his footy he isn't afraid to try some stairs and most defiantly isn't afraid of some pretty wicked gaps. I look forward to seeing Foundry Skateboarding under his feet in Orlando Florida.
We are super ready for Foundry Skateboarders to blow the skating world up. Remember guys you were one of the first, thats a big deal. Send me all your footy guys, when we get 11 Reps I need to pick a Scout! That means free stuff for nothing! I can't pick you without Some video.
Thanks to everyone that has gotten Foundry Skateboarding Where it is now. Michigan guys.... seriously sorry about the snow. I love snowboarding footage though.
